What stage do you invest at?
We invest at pre-seed and seed stage, typically writing first checks of $100K–$500K. We look for companies with early product-market fit signals, a strong founding team, and a clear path to building a category-defining business in African or Diaspora markets.
Do I need to have a warm introduction?
No. While warm intros help us prioritize, we review every cold submission that comes through our contact form or pitch@tiphub.vc. Some of our best investments came without an introduction. If your company fits our thesis, we'll respond.
Do you invest outside of Africa?
We invest in companies that serve African markets or are founded by members of the African Diaspora — regardless of where they're incorporated. Many of our portfolio companies are incorporated in the US or UK while building products for African users.
What should I include in my pitch?
A concise deck (10-15 slides) covering: problem, solution, market size, traction/metrics, team, and ask. We also love a 2-3 minute Loom video walking through your product. No specific format required — just be clear and compelling.
