Entrepreneurship In Residence Program
The Entrepreneur in Residence Program is a partnership between tiphub Capital and Parallel Score Product Studio based out of Lagos Nigeria & Washington, DC. We are a team of diligent innovators who partner with African and African Diaspora founders to build a better world. The goal of the program is to build, scale, and invest in companies in emerging markets. The program leverages validation-driven company building to de-risk the early-stage development process for startups. We identify top market problems, build a team to validate the idea, develop projects, build products, and scale companies.
Entrepreneurs That Validate, Build, And Scale
We are looking for Entrepreneurs in Residence to lead new venture opportunities that have been initially validated and take them to market. As an Entrepreneur in Residence, you will be employed on a 9-month contract and lead the build and launch of a new venture opportunity to demonstrate product-market fit. We provide you with a vetted business idea, support you in building a team, and fund you with $100,00 of initial capital. Throughout the 9-month build phase, you will receive funding and operational support from tiphub Capital & Parallel Score product studio and our network of experts. We’ll then give you the right guidance, playbooks, and process to build the product and grow the company. You will also join an active community of entrepreneurs in our portfolio who are navigating similar challenges in other industries.
Who are we looking for?
We are open to a variety of backgrounds but generally look for business-oriented & data-driven product leaders who have spent time operating at software companies. We also look for sales and growth professionals who have a deep understanding of people. While we have attributes we look for, we also understand that non-traditional outcomes need non-traditional people. Here’s a sample of some signals we look for:
- Demonstrated track record of success (you can define success how you want) in prior roles
- Software-oriented background/acumen is preferred, although not required
- Excellent leadership and management experience, including the ability to hire and lead world-class teams
- Expertise in product and customer orientation
- Highly motivated and vigorous work ethic
